Good Research Practice Training (GRPT) (Online – April 2026)

The Good Research Practice Training reinforces the values of integrity, transparency, and accountability in the research process. It focuses on responsible data management, authorship ethics, conflict of interest, and reproducibility of results. By emphasizing adherence to ethical and scientific standards, the training aims to prevent misconduct and enhance research credibility among consortium members. Conducted online, this activity supports the continuous professional development of researchers while promoting a culture of ethical excellence across all MHRDC institutions.

The Seminar-Workshop on Artificial Intelligence in Health focuses on the emerging role of AI in health systems, diagnostics, and data analytics. Conducted online, the activity builds the participants’ understanding of how AI can enhance research efficiency, data interpretation, and health service innovation. Through lectures and case presentations, the workshop encourages researchers to explore AI-driven approaches in addressing health problems in the region, paving the way for more technology-enabled research initiatives under MHRDC.
Training on 3-Minute Policy Pitching (Online – November 2026)

The Training on 3-Minute Policy Pitching is designed to equip researchers with the skills to effectively communicate their research findings to policymakers and non-technical audiences. This training emphasizes clarity, brevity, and impact, helping participants translate complex data into compelling, evidence-based messages. Jointly organized by the Research Utilization Committee (RUC) and the CBC, the activity supports the consortium’s advocacy for evidence-informed policy and enhances researchers’ confidence in public engagement and presentation.
Proposal Mentorship for PCHRD-RRF (Online – November 2026)

This two-day online workshop provides intensive, expert-led coaching for researchers targeting the PCHRD Regional Research Fund. Featuring two specialized resource speakers, the activity transitions from technical methodology and research design on Day 1 to ethical compliance and budgetary preparation on Day 2. Through real-time feedback and structured clinics, participants will refine their drafts into submission-ready proposals. By bridging the gap between emerging investigators and seasoned mentors, this initiative ensures high-quality, competitive applications that align with national health standards, ultimately increasing funding success and fostering research collaboration within the consortium.
Workshop on Publishable Paper (Online – October 2026)

The Workshop on Publishable Paper Development provides hands-on guidance to researchers in transforming completed studies into manuscripts ready for submission to peer-reviewed journals. Participants will learn about scientific writing structure, data presentation, citation standards, and journal selection strategies. This workshop encourages local researchers to disseminate their findings widely, contributing to the visibility and impact of regional health research. By improving publication skills, the consortium fosters a stronger research culture and positions MIMAROPA as a contributor to national and global health knowledge.
15th Health Research Forum

The 15th Health Research Forum serves as the consortium’s flagship platform for presenting completed and ongoing research projects. It provides faculty, students, and professionals an avenue to share findings, network with peers, and receive expert feedback. Organized by the RUC and RDMC-TRB, the forum promotes research dissemination, collaboration, and innovation in addressing regional health concerns. The event also recognizes outstanding research contributions that exemplify excellence and impact in health research.
44th PNHRS

The MHRDC with active participation in the 44th Anniversary Celebration of the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD), reaffirming its strong commitment to advancing national health research initiatives.
